a canadian weekend

I’ve always been a massive fan of the outdoors so when Mr Jason Gordon invited me up to his family land over the long weekend, I gave the only possible answer - a very enthusiastic yes. This weekend also happened to be the coldest weather we’d seen so far this year (hovering around -30 degrees celsius). Spending our time in that weather with no electricity, no running water, and with 100 acres of land to explore, it was an extremely minimalist style of living and I enjoyed it so much.
We had a good friend of mine make it up for a day too. It was a great way to relax and a welcome addition to the usual tent camping.

Here are my favourite photos from the weekend’s adventure (including a shot of us buying food during a power outage in the small town closest to the cabin). Take a look at Jason’s blog to see the weekend from his view.
