NACO part one

Last year, the fun folks at Giants and Gentlemen and I traveled to my home town of Ottawa to produce work for a new campaign for the National Art Centre Orchestra. I’m excited to share part one of the campaign: photos showcasing some of the incredible talent in the NACO. The purpose of these shots, as you can see from the example above, was to create a connection between the musician and their muse or inspiration for pages in their 2015 season brochure.

Talking tech, it was a fun challenge to work with the beautiful backstage areas in the NAC for the photos. Especially considering we had a maximum of 30-45 minutes per shot (including travel and pre-light). Check below to see some of my personal favourite photos from this part of the campaign.

Also, in a nostalgic connection to the location/subject matter, I remember going to see the NACO as a child and actually spending quite a bit of quality time with a camera on and around their grounds in photo school.
